I have been gardener for 30+ years and eating home canned produce is the best. There just isn't any store bought commercially grown that can compare. Now, at the farmer's markets, that is very very good top notch produce there. The last couple years we have been experimenting with salsa recipes, but my stomach just cannot handle the really hot stuff. My brother raises his own peppers here and they are hotter than the ones you get in a jar, wow.
Enjoyed your blog, very good writing.
Kevin

Re: Contact Us

Hello,

Just wanted to know if you would be interested in exchanging links with my gardening site http://www.tobuildagarden.com/ (PR2)

I am open to adding a link to your site from any article page on my site in exchange for a similar link.

For instance, I can link to your site from the right panel of this page:

http://www.tobuildagarden.c... (PR1)

This way both our sites can benefit a lot more than links from typical link pages.

Please let me know if you would be interested in this type of link exchange and we can work out a mutually beneficial deal.

Awaiting your reply.

Regards,
Mike
Tobuildagarden.com
tobuildagarden@gmail.com

Re: Earth Friendly Products A Product Review

Not sure why the quote in the list is screwed up. But in general when I purchase manure, I always look for manure that is raised organically. My main suppler for Donkey manure is a follow gardener who donkeys are fed only the best animal feed and its organic feed. The donkeys get yearly checkups from the vet and only gets the needed shots to keep them healthy. There are no hormones, these donkeys are just pets...

Re: How to Make Organic Potting Mix

I think is great what you are suggesting her, but be careful, if you like organic produce, or grow your plants organically, then the manure you should use must be organic as well if not you are taking the risk of putting all the antibiotics and medication those animals ingested into your mix and therefore your food. I have been using two products that have worked for me pretty well, and have helped me increase the organic matter in the soil (Ultimate Organic Soil Bacteria) and to fertilize organically (Ultimate Hume).

Re: What is Mulch?

Good post on mulch.
